Summer Bummer

Posted by Exer on Thursday, July 1st, 2010

We’ve been having rain, rain and more rain the past couple weeks. Looks like it may be a typical wet Alaskan summer. Not that I should be all that bothered by it, since I’m not actually working outdoors at the moment. What do I really have to complain about, mowing the grass too often? I [...]

Alaska isn’t always a winter wonderland, covered in feet of snow. We are a green, green state, for a few amazing months of summer.

Puppy Tales

Posted by Exer on Thursday, June 10th, 2010

OK, well he isn’t exactly a puppy anymore, but that doesn’t stop me from calling him “pup” every now and again. Whenever my mom stops by to visit she calls him “grandpa”, but that’s just because she is evil and likes to pick on helpless animals. Yup. Anyway, here is my PUP out enjoying the [...]

Don’t Bug Me

This little lady decided to land on my brothers hand while we worked on his car in the driveway. She wasn’t in any hurry to fly away, so we grabbed a camera and decided to try out the macro lens.

If You Musk

Posted by Exer on Sunday, April 18th, 2010

Yearbook

Posted by Exer on Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Me and my brother packed up my camera and tripod, and a backpack full of different outfits and took a walk into the woods up near Campbell Airstrip to try and take a couple decent shots for his yearbook photo.  After hearing about one of his classmates paying 1,400$ for her senior pictures (no, that isn’t a typo) I told my brother, “Man, I bet I could take your picture myself”.

So that is exactly what we did.

I used to not put any easily distinguishable photos of my brother online, due to him being underage and just safety concerns, but the kid is 18 now (if you can believe that) and so I don’t mind posting a few photos of him now and again.  I think this turned out pretty well, though the yearbook coordinators did say to him “why didn’t you smile?”  He repilied, “I AM smiling…”  Yup, I can so tell he is my brother.  We are exactly the same in many, many ways.

Good looking kid isn’t he?  And if there are any rich women out there looking for a young, eligible bachelor, he is  smart as a whip as well!  Just sayin’.
