A Weekly Joy
A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself – and especially to feel, or not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at any moment is fine with them. That’s what real love amounts to – letting a person be what he really is. – Jim Morrison
Once upon a time, me and Victoria decided to watch a movie together on a Sunday night. Two years later, we’ve only missed a handful of Sunday “movie nights”, and even when we do miss it on a Sunday, we make up for it by either watching on Saturday, or the following Monday. It’s one of the things — for myself — that I most cherish. My entire week builds up towards our movie date.I don’t think either of us could have imagined how special it would become – how much an important part of our lives. It’s not just a “movie”. It’s a small window of time that is just ours. It’s our time. Everyone knows not to bother us, and with very few exceptions they abide by that. It’s not even a question anymore, we don’t say “So, we going to watch a movie this week?” We just know we are watching a movie together. The only real question is “what” movie we will be watching. I like that.
Here are just a few of the movies we’ve seen togther (widget in the sidebar). We’ve been doing this weekly for 2 years now, and we’ve seen well over 100 movies, so this isn’t a complete list. There haven’t been very many “duds” either, so we’ve been pretty lucky.
